Hello,
I am from , and I am here to provide you with feedback, helpful tips and hints, and also redlines and greenlines. All based upon your request about feedback on this specific drawing.
The first thing I noticed, and also what I like the most, is the re-design, her clothes, the muzzle, and her pose.
The re-design:
I took a look at the original design, and I must say you’ve done a good job. The character is still recognizable, and that’s good. I stated to another deviant that re-designs can be tricky because the “watermark” of the character tends to disappear, but you’ve done a good job on keeping her true to her original design.
The clothes:
I like the clothes you’ve given her. They look great on her, and she’s so cute! It’s simple and sexy.
The muzzle:
You have a pretty unique muzzle style, and I like it. It fits perfectly with the nose, and most important; she still looks feminine. When I first started drawing muzzles they all looked masculine.
The pose:
This is a contest entry, and it fits perfectly as a contest entry. Her pose is simple, so it’s easy to view her, and you’re keeping it classy and elegant.
What I think could need more work is her anatomy and the lines.
The anatomy:
Anatomy is always a pain in the tail, so don’t worry about that. Practice makes master, so I am going to give you a few tips and hints on how to make female characters a bit more curvy.
First of all, her right shoulder is a bit too far out to the side, so it makes her upper body look a lot bigger than it is, and she has no ribcage on her side.
Her hips are a bit too small, which makes her legs a bit short and weird looking. Her right leg is also a bit bigger than her left.
I will give you an example on how to fix it in the redline/greenline below.
The lines:
They look a little messy, and I think they could have been cleaner. I don’t know if you are using sai or photoshop, but a lot of artists are doing the lineart in sai while they color in photoshop.
I found a good tutorial on how to do lineart in sai: [link].
Redlines and greenlines: [link]
I hope this was helpful. Thank you for submitting your lovely artwork to our group. We are looking forward to your submissions in the future. You are a great artist, and you will get far with your skills.
Have a great day!
